Hello, everyone!
I’m stopping by with some news I’ve prepared with great care for all of you on the journey of learning Brazilian Portuguese. I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my new word search and crossword puzzle books! There are 3 volumes, each focused on a specific learning level: Beginner (A1), Elementary (A2), and Intermediate (B1).
If you, like me, believe that learning a language can and should be fun, then these books are for you!
Learn and Review: The Strategy Behind the Books
Repetition is the key to memorization, right? With that in mind, I’ve structured the books into two main sections to ensure an intelligent reinforcement of vocabulary:
- Learn with Word Searches: The first half of each book is composed of word searches. They are perfect for the first contact with new words. You learn to recognize them visually, which makes the process lighter and more intuitive.
- Review with Crosswords: The second half features crosswords. By definition, they are more challenging because they require you to remember the word and write it correctly in the spaces. It’s the perfect tool to review and truly solidify what you’ve learned in the first part or in your daily studies.
The goal is simple: to reinforce the vocabulary you’ve already seen and ensure that new words stick in your long-term memory.
Which Level Should I Choose?
That’s a great question! My suggestion depends on your goal:
- To gain confidence: Try a book from a level you have already completed (for example, if you are at A2, grab the A1 book). The puzzles will be simpler, you’ll feel a great sense of progress, and you won’t get stuck, allowing you to review important words in a lighthearted way.
- To be challenged and learn more: Choose the book for the level you are currently at or the next level up. This way, you’ll be challenged with new words and significantly expand your vocabulary.
To make the experience balanced, the Level A2 book includes words from A1 for reinforcement. Similarly, the Level B1 book has many B1 words, but also some from B2 (to challenge you a bit!), A2, and A1, making the learning process both motivating and complete.
How Do the Puzzles Work?
Each puzzle is designed to be clear and helpful. Below each one, you will find:
- A clue in Portuguese.
- A short English translation to guide you.
And don’t worry if you get stuck! The answers, along with a more complete definition in English, are in the Solutions section at the end of the book.
Get to Know the Volumes
The books are filled with useful words for daily life, organized into thematic sections to guide you (but without being too rigid, as we know a word can belong to various contexts!).
- Level A1 – Volume 1: Contains 70 puzzles (35 word searches and 35 crosswords) based on 35 lists of 10 words.
- Level A2 – Volume 1: Contains 80 puzzles (40 word searches and 40 crosswords) based on 40 lists of 10 words.
- Level B1 – Volume 1: Contains 100 puzzles (50 word searches and 50 crosswords) based on 50 lists of 10 words.
And this is just the beginning! I plan to release at least 3 more volumes for Level A1, 4 for A2, and 5 for B1. There’s much more to come!

Estou passando por aqui com uma novidade que preparei com muito carinho para todos vocês que estão na jornada de aprender português do Brasil. Aprender e Revisar: A Estratégia por Trás dos Livros
A repetição é a chave para a memorização, certo? Pensando nisso, estruturei os livros em duas seções principais para garantir um reforço inteligente do vocabulário:
- Aprender com Caça-Palavras: A primeira metade de cada livro é composta por caça-palavras (Word Search). Eles são perfeitos para o primeiro contato com palavras novas. Você aprende a reconhecê-las visualmente, o que torna o processo mais leve e intuitivo.
- Revisar com Palavras Cruzadas: A segunda metade traz palavras-cruzadas (Crosswords). Por definição, elas são mais desafiadoras, pois exigem que você se lembre da palavra e a escreva corretamente nos espaços. É a ferramenta perfeita para revisar e realmente fixar o que você aprendeu na primeira parte ou em seus estudos diários.
O objetivo é simples: reforçar o vocabulário que você já viu e garantir que as palavras novas fiquem na sua memória de longo prazo.
Qual Nível Devo Escolher?
Essa é uma ótima pergunta! Minha sugestão depende do seu objetivo:
- Para ganhar confiança: Experimente um livro de um nível que você já completou (por exemplo, se você está no A2, pegue o livro A1). Os quebra-cabeças serão mais simples, você sentirá uma ótima sensação de progresso e não ficará travado, revisando palavras importantes de forma leve.
- Para ser desafiado e aprender mais: Escolha o livro do nível em que você está agora ou do próximo nível. Assim, você será desafiado com palavras novas e expandirá seu vocabulário de forma significativa.
Para tornar a experiência equilibrada, o livro do Nível A2 inclui palavras do A1 para reforço. Da mesma forma, o Nível B1 tem muitas palavras B1, mas também algumas de B2 (para te desafiar um pouco!), A2 e A1, tornando o aprendizado motivador e completo.
Como os Puzzles Funcionam?
Cada quebra-cabeça é pensado para ser claro e útil. Abaixo de cada um, você encontrará:
- Uma dica em português.
- Uma tradução curta em inglês para te guiar.
E não se preocupe se ficar em dúvida! As respostas, junto com uma definição mais completa em inglês, estão na seção de Soluções no final do livro.
Conheça os Volumes
Os livros são recheados de palavras úteis para o dia a dia, organizadas em seções temáticas para te guiar (mas sem muita rigidez, pois sabemos que uma palavra pode pertencer a vários contextos!).
- Nível A1 – Volume 1: Contém 70 quebra-cabeças (35 caça-palavras e 35 palavras cruzadas) baseados em 35 listas de 10 palavras.
- Nível A2 – Volume 1: Contém 80 quebra-cabeças (40 caça-palavras e 40 palavras cruzadas) baseados em 40 listas de 10 palavras.
- Nível B1 – Volume 1: Contém 100 quebra-cabeças (50 caça-palavras e 50 palavras cruzadas) baseados em 50 listas de 10 palavras.
E isso é só o começo! Planejo lançar pelo menos mais 3 volumes para o Nível A1, 4 para o A2 e 5 para o B1. Vem muito mais por aí!
Veja: assim como as cores dos livros se desenvolvem e se libertam em cada volume, assim será seu português, se transformando de vagar de um tom azulado para o verdadeiro verde e amarelo brasileiro!
